Someday I’ll own a business.” “Someday I’ll be a better Father or Mother.” “Someday I’ll help the less fortunate.”Someday I will go to church. “Someday I’ll lose weight.” You’ve heard these and other similar thoughts expressed, or perhaps you’ve even expressed them yourself, right? We all do. The problem is this: When is someday? There are certainly things that require planning and patience, but “someday” is but a counterfeit of such wisdom and perseverance. The lack of anything in ones life is a symptom of the lack of God and Faith in one’s life; money cannot fill that void.
“Someday” is an excuse for playing small in the moment. The universe is magnificent of which we are a part of. So why then do we limit ourselves to mediocrity and lack? Gods plan does not entail a life of suffering. His plan is for us to move, act and create, not sit back and expect. If you really want something, then sit down and create a comprehensive plan for achieving it, complete with a timeline, detailed steps, and what you’re willing to do. The financially liberated don’t casually spout out “some- days”; they deliberately proclaim specifics.
Daily proclaim your greatness and success. I am a warrior, I am blessed, I am a child of God with heavenly attributes. Expect abundance in your life. No more victimhood. No more excuses.
What do you really want to be and do in the short time you have on this earth? Have you defined this clearly enough? Are you willing to sacrifice for it? Are you willing to transcend myths, fallacies, and limitations in its pursuit? Are you willing to lift the burdens in your life and live for purpose and meaning beyond money, to maintain an attitude of abundance in the face of challenges and trials, to overcome scarcity in all its destructive forms?
If so, then go after that meaning—make it your true end, and relegate the Lord as your strength.
Begin this new purpose with up most intentions. Serve others as your number one priority rather than setting out to just make money.
“Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognizing your talents and finding ways to serve others by using them.”—Thomas Kinkade, painter
